“Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle”.  Martin Luther King Jr.

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all are staying warm and cozy with these cooler, windy days.  Whether you are indulging in indoor projects you have saved for this time of year or taking up new ones, remember to be patient with the process.  It’s being consistent and going through the struggles of the learning process that will eventually pay off.  And it will pay off.  Just as our Downward Facing Dogs were once a struggle (or still may be if you are new or coming back to your Practice after a long hiatus), with time, they become our resting place; our home.  We are all given gifts that can help make the world a more beautiful place, but the world will not have them if we don’t put in our time and energy.   It’s a win-win situation.  The more we learn and grow, the better we feel.  The better we feel, the better the people around us feel and the more they grow.  Being consistent is the key.  It is better to touch base by putting in 15 minutes of work on a daily basis then 3 hours once a week.  The more we put in the 15 minutes, the more that 15 minutes turn into longer and longer sessions just because it feels so good.  Your Yoga practice fits into this as well.   All you learn through your practice (patience, breathing, being in the moment, challenging yourself) will slowly influence everything else you do.  Yoga practice is magical that way.  We sometimes feel as if we don’t have enough time to do it, but when we do, somehow we always have more time and energy to do more things.  As if the practice itself created more time!  It will do this!  When we feel better and get out of our way, the world and ourselves will expand and then we will be able to truly make everything more beautiful.

Namaste,

Lori
